Förintelsen är nära is the third demo of south Swedish duo Obscuro. They describe their music as "primitve Black Metal" but entirely it isn’t so primitive. You can ascertain this at the short and successful instrumental Intro. Going on with Allt är svart that starts catching tamped and effects at the begin thoroughly minimalistic and primitive cause Obscuro disclaim in total with any innovative and variable arrangements. Approximately at half-time of this song it totally appears different. Easy to grasp constant speed from the beginning stops and a quiet dark melodic phase begins that is enacted magnificent well, above all the interplay of drum and guitar succeeded decidedly well. With this emphatic slow playing Obscuro causes a very present and tactile atmosphere. Front song Förintelsen är nära has a similiar collecting and gloomy atmosphere so it is easier and catching as Allt är svart. Tamping rhythm, not really fast but even not sluggish, keeps up continuously, merely the vocals and off and on changing riffs establish a variation during the song. Boring or unimaginative Obscuro effects at no time because realization succeed well and all songs have their own independent note.

Not even the instrumental transformation of Förintelsen är nära but also the powerful und distinguished sound is successful that take effect through the quiet passages. Both catching and facetful and melodic parts Obscuro satisfy totally. Musically the demo is all-round a perfect record but the fact that less the Intro and Outro only two real songs exist can be criticized. It’s a pity cause those two songs are really brilliant and you wish more of them.
