Already since the demo Verhasstes Schweigen this incredible one-man-project of South Korea could convince me. Infinite Hatred totally stands for extreme, macabre and also venomous Black Metal par excellence.
After the one-minute dark introduction a roaring hymn bursts out with Forest of Black Shadow , mainly astonishing by an exceedingly wilful rhythm, difficult to describe with any words. This multi-changing passed-through rhythm as the croaking, distorted singing with a smooth hall reminds me sporadically of the English project Andrihimnir - by the way. The Black Metal Warlord rhythm is more catching as structured sluggishly, but the intense oppressive atmosphere is aimed by the guitar, confined to some single riffs, repeating permanently, whereby the sinister-shrilled singing is coming from the background. Infinite Hatred certainly is also gloomy and suffocating in its catching property, however the tempo is, for the most time, fast and driving, lending an aggressive and seething to hatred nuance.
Also the three remaining tracks on Hateful Spell are performed in this thoroughly individual manner. The interesting about Infinite Hatred is that the structures occasionally seem barbarous simple and catching, interweaving otherwise to complex to confused structures. The first impression having to do with primitive and simple Black Metal of a one-man-band is deceiving. Single elements as the rhythm or the guitar riffing are possibly constituted simply, but in total Hateful Spell is a coarse opus with grand bizarre, oppressive and venomous outgrowths. You could also describe it as the soundtrack of a morbid, diseased, insane and disgusted mind – great!
