DARK ORDER - THE VIOLENCE CONTINUUM | RELEASED: 2006 | LABEL: BATTLEGOD PRODUCTIONS

The Violence Continuum was previously published in 2002, however only on the Australian native market. The new, worldwide edition wasn't newly mixed and remastered but consist a video DVD as bonus.

It's competently offered Thrash Metal, as Dark Order is setting right at the beginning with War Has Begun . The song is beginning murderly brute with hard riffing and forced drumming. For a moment you believe, that it deals with the Australian pendant Dead Head, so passionately is the introduction in this record. Presently Dark Order takes the wind out of the sails and starts the matters more calm and varied. The initial aggressively is retreated and War Has Begun acts slow and melodic during the mid-part, but is getting louder and more violent at the end.
With The Terran Empire follows another diversified track. It's starting with fast riffing and marching rhythm right solidly. After less a minute fast played soli sets in and the drums are handled brisk and very variable. Catching heavy passages comes with melodic and calm phases. Similarly varied are the vocals, seeming occasionally aggressive and less distorted as sounding clear and a little bit croaking.

These multifarious structuring intersperse the total record. There's not a single song being catching from the beginning, both fast and hard or melody accentuated. First of all this seems to be regrettable, because of the vast demand, Thrash Metal having to have extremely hard and easy to grasp structures. However Dark Order combines this hardness terrifically with playing and melodic accents. A perfect example therefore is En Sabah Nur , that firstly begins balladry determined by a clear singing and a depressive melody. Now and then quick and hard passages naturally emerge and these fading's in are impeccably fluent. So it generally behaves in all songs, Dark Order effortlessly shift up and down in a trice. Therefore surely fits the premium and crystal-clear sound, differencing the single instruments perfectly and bringing to bear and converring the record a mighty, pressureful impression.

The DVD bearing the title Realm of the Violence Continuum contains two versions of The Terran Empire and Slaves of a Nameless God . The usual video version of The Terran Empire is shorter as on the record. It's thoroughly fast and brute. Considering this fact it's a pity that the CD version is a different, harmless version. The image and tonal quality of the DVD material is unblemished, yet.

The Violence Continuum is an all-around convincing and very impressive publishing, being fun while listening. Ideally you listen this piece while using a correct volume, so your neighbourhood can be apart of this event.
