Personally not only SolarKult's song titles are extravagant but the musical content of this second conceptional Blacklodge record, too. SolarKult's public relation describe this acoustic insanity as "Industrial Black Metal Mysticism" - and they're right. This kind of extreme music essentionally demands a certain open-minded listeners potential. As the fact 'Industrial' implicates this isn't common Black Metal acting with conventional instruments. SolarKult is a very electronic and technological creation which hides the Metal partly very well. Solely true elements of metal are the vocals and guitars, so both are untypically created and adapted to electronic industrial sounds. An additional real drumming certainly is including but I couldn't discover it.
Who wonders being this Black Metal, so look at the satanic and misanthropic concept Blacklodge confessing to. Musically and atmospherically SolarKult is an aggressive and hard opus that based on its crusted electronic sound tapestries and rhythm as those extreme distorted guitars suprising with technical and hard riffing. I must say that those guitars are tuned perfectly and seamlessly fit in the electronic shape. Partially guitars become more metalic and also plays classic melodies and some single soli. Blacklodge use in their song Templars a riff that's very similiar with Arghoslent's "The Negress" riffing. Accidential or not - Blacklodge realize dexterous the transformation from metal arrangements into hard electronic sounds fluently. Another interesting and succeeded fact are the vocals being undistorted but rough and croaking and perfectly fits to SolarKult's nuclear and apocalytic atmosphere.

SolarKult safely is an interesting and extreme opus though only eligible persons should listen to who are alert to electronic music and don't refuse it per se. The record is published on CD and DLP in Gatefold.
